About The Position

The CNC Laser Operator is responsible for operating CNC laser equipment to cut various metals while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety in a manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on experience, technical skills, and the ability to follow production schedules and engineering specifications.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 3 years of CNC laser or machining experience required
Ability to set up jobs according to engineering specifications
Ability to adjust programs to ensure production of quality parts
Strong blueprint and mechanical drawing interpretation skills
Experience using precision measuring tools
Ability to safely operate a forklift
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Ability to stand/walk for the duration of the shift
Physical ability to kneel, bend, climb, and lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
Experience with Amada laser cutters preferred

Responsibilities

Operate CNC laser machines to cut steel, stainless steel, and aluminum (thin to mid gauge)
Execute daily production schedules and communicate any issues promptly
Transport raw materials and unload finished parts; operate forklift as needed
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
Complete secondary operations such as flattening, deburring, surfacing, bending, and inspection
Follow company quality policies and procedures
Report part or equipment defects to supervisors
Confirm operations in ERP systems and issue materials to production orders
Communicate effectively with team members to support workflow
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety regulations and supervisor instructions
Perform additional duties as assigned
