About The Position

The CNC Laser Operator is responsible for operating CNC laser equipment to cut various metals while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety in a manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on experience, technical skills, and the ability to follow production schedules and engineering specifications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of CNC laser or machining experience required
• Ability to set up jobs according to engineering specifications
• Ability to adjust programs to ensure production of quality parts
• Strong blueprint and mechanical drawing interpretation skills
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of the shift
• Physical ability to kneel, bend, climb, and lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with Amada laser cutters preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser machines to cut steel, stainless steel, and aluminum (thin to mid gauge)
• Execute daily production schedules and communicate any issues promptly
• Transport raw materials and unload finished parts; operate forklift as needed
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Complete secondary operations such as flattening, deburring, surfacing, bending, and inspection
• Follow company quality policies and procedures
• Report part or equipment defects to supervisors
• Confirm operations in ERP systems and issue materials to production orders
• Communicate effectively with team members to support workflow
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety regulations and supervisor instructions
• Perform additional duties as assigned
