About The Position

Preferred Personnel Solutions is seeking to hire a CNC Operator for a warehouse located in Smyrna. This direct hire position involves performing adjustments related to machine settings, tools, and times, analyzing part measurements to determine necessary adjustments, and being responsible for production and quality output for a specified area. The operator will read blueprints to ensure dimensional conformance of parts, review measurement reports to assess product conformity and make corrections, and perform re-works both on and off the machine. Additional duties include performing booking operations, ensuring reported quantities are correct, and conducting visual inspections to identify issues early in the production process. The role also requires training other operators on Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.) and visual inspection details, assisting with workflow by identifying bottlenecks and communicating status to supervisors and CNC technicians, and maintaining a high level of safety and cleanliness in the manufacturing area. The CNC Operator supports production plans based on priorities, output goals, and efficiencies of their respective lines, and performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience adjusting milling and turning CNC machines.
  • Experience with GD & T Code, G&M Code and cutting metal or making parts.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must understand how measure parts with use of precision measurement equipment.
  • Willing to submit to a drug screening and background check.
