About The Position

CNC Milling Specialist (VMC Focus) Build precision. Elevate process. You take pride in turning blueprints into flawless parts. In this role, you’ll bring custom components to life on Vertical Mills, ensuring every feature meets print—then capturing your results in Epicor so the team can see the impact. A quick story A part comes off slightly out of tolerance. You catch it with a hand mic, analyze the root cause, apply a tool/work offset, and tweak the program. The next piece measures dead-on. You log the job details in Epicor, deburr, and move into a clean changeover, keeping the cell flowing. Your impact Translate work orders and prints into efficient setups by pulling instructions and drawings from Epicor. Program selection and edits for Vertical Mills aligned to specific jobs and materials. Set up and operate at least two Vertical Mills in the department. Execute precise changeovers—hands-on, detail-first, and safe. Deburr parts with a deburring wheel and hand tools for a clean finish. Inspect with hand measurement tools; verify all dimensions are within tolerance. Apply offsets and program edits to correct deviations immediately. Scan parts and record dates and job details in Epicor for traceability. Complete basic preventative maintenance on Vertical Mills to reduce downtime. Uphold a safe, orderly workstation and perform required 5S tasks. What helps you succeed Strong team player; communicates clearly and respectfully. Any “Unsatisfactory” rating on the most recent review disqualifies candidates. Maximum of one (1) documented written warning in the last 12 months to proceed. Ability to navigate CNC controls. Ability to read and edit G-code. Safely lift/push/pull 40 lbs. Preferred: 2+ years of CNC operating experience, or an equivalent blend of education and experience. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Dorner employees with at least one (1) year tenure may apply without a diploma.
