NMT’s expertise in the design and development of endoscopic devices, combined with Isometric’s micro-molding capabilities, have the potential to redefine the realm of minimally invasive surgical instruments and surgical robotics. Together, we aim to address the changing demands of medical devices by enhancing component miniaturization and improving the maneuverability of small and precision components, ultimately advancing medical efficiency. It's an exciting time to join our team, and we're hiring for a 1st shift CNC Milling Specialist. This role is responsible for the set-up and operation of high precision CNC vertical milling machines to take materials from set up to completion in producing steel components and electrodes for manufacturing micro precision plastic injection molds. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Accredited Machine Tooling program
  • Education and experience in reading blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Experience with set up and operation of all tool room equipment.
  • Experience in the usage of measurement tools and instruments

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience with CAD and CAM programming software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and understand the use of hand tools, grinding machinery, milling machinery, drill presses, band saw, measuring devices, micrometers, caliper to cut, grind, drill and take material from setup to completion.
  • Work to tolerances of +/- .0001.
  • Review blueprints, analyze and troubleshoot problems.
  • Performs repair work by planning and troubleshooting.
  • Perform mathematics and geometric functions and possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Arrange layout of tooling, material and other related components to record final inspection results.
  • Required to operate semi-complex CAD and CAM software.
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner, complying with safety rules.
  • Maintains tools and equipment; lubricate and make minor adjustments and repairs as necessary and according to periodic maintenance schedule.
  • Maintains safe and clean (dust free) workstation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
