About The Position

We are hiring a CNC Manufacturing Technician to support precision milling and turning operations within a high-volume production environment. This role combines CNC programming, machine setup, and hands-on operation of both CNC and manual equipment to produce accurate, high-quality components. This position is well-suited for a machinist who values consistency, accuracy, and efficiency while maintaining a strong understanding of machining fundamentals and shop-floor best practices. The manufacturing operation is long-standing with decades of experience, a large-scale production facility serving multiple market segments, and operates in a quality-focused, fast-paced environment emphasizing precision and throughput.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Proficiency in G-code programming and editing
  • Practical knowledge of geometry and trigonometry as applied to machining
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with quality practices such as First Article Inspection and PPAP
  • General understanding of inventory control concepts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and reaching
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sheet metal or mixed manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks or similar)
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems
  • Involvement in continuous or process improvement initiatives
  • Hands-on experience with manual mills and lathes

Responsibilities

  • Analyze work orders, blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation to define machining processes
  • Program, modify, and run G-code for 3-axis CNC milling equipment
  • Perform machine setups, including tool offsets, work coordinates, and tool register configuration
  • Execute machining processes such as drilling, tapping, turning, facing, contouring, and cutting
  • Complete first-piece inspections and dimensional verification using precision measurement tools
  • Identify machining issues and make program or setup adjustments to maintain part quality
  • Operate manual shop equipment including mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and related tools
  • Conduct routine machine care and tool management to ensure optimal performance
  • Monitor material usage and assist with basic inventory tracking and replenishment
  • Maintain organized work areas while meeting production and quality expectations
