About The Position

A&K Railroad Materials Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist who wants more than just a job—someone who wants responsibility, stability, and the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing manufacturing operation. With more than six decades of success in rail production, we continue to grow by investing in skilled professionals who take pride in precision work and personal accountability. This role is ideal for a CNC Machinist who enjoys working in a demanding industrial environment and is confident making real-time decisions on the shop floor. You will play a direct role in producing critical rail components by setting up, running, and maintaining CNC equipment while meeting strict quality and production standards. The work is hands-on, fast-moving, and best suited for someone who is dependable, detail-focused, and comfortable working independently. In this position, you will operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines, interpret technical drawings and machining code, and make adjustments as needed to ensure consistent, high-quality output. You will inspect parts, identify machining issues, and resolve them efficiently to keep production moving. Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of your work without constant oversight. We are looking for a CNC Machinist with demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting. Candidates should be reliable, organized, and capable of managing priorities in a production-driven environment. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. A&K Railroad Materials Inc. offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and tuition reimbursement. If you are a CNC Machinist who values craftsmanship, accountability, and long-term career growth, we encourage you to apply. Complete our quick 3-minute application, and our team will follow up within 24–48 hours.
