About The Position

This is a temporary-to-full-time position for a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer in a North Toledo Machine shop. The role requires an individual who can independently set up, program, and run jobs from print to completion without supervision. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Mazak lathes and Haas Automation mills, and proficiency in Mastercam and Mazak (Mazatrol) programming. The company is looking for a dependable, self-sufficient machinist who takes pride in precision work and can contribute immediately at a high level.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of CNC machining experience
• Proven ability to independently set up and program CNC equipment (highest skill level)
• Experience with Mazak lathes and Haas Automation mills
• Proficiency in Mastercam and Mazak (Mazatrol) programming
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometer/caliper)
• Must have own basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) and hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Must pass background screening
• Must pass drug screening

Responsibilities

• Independently program, set up, and operate CNC machines
• Perform full setups including tooling installation, material loading, and offset adjustments
• Program and operate Mazak lathes (Mazatrol and/or G-code)
• Program Haas mills using G-code and/or CAM software such as Mastercam
• Verify dimensions and ensure part quality using precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize programs for efficiency and accuracy
