Develop production machining processes and work flows. Plan, layout, assess, and implement machining strategies for optimal spindle use and material stock size, and minimized tool wear/break to maximize output and yield. Perform all calculations of material, select proper cutting tools, and determine speeds and feeds for optimal performance. Setup and use precision measuring tools, and check own work for conformance to specifications. Evaluate quality of work and employ changes for continuous improvement. Actively work to minimize scrap and waste. Design fixtures and jigs to facilitate fabrication of complex machined components.
