About The Position

J. Baur Machining is a manufacturing company located in Mars, PA. We have been a leader in precision machining and contract manufacturing for over 40 years. We are family-owned business made up of about 20 amazing employees. We utilize automated CNC technology and feature 18 CNC machines in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. We love Mazak, Multi-Tasking equipment! First Shift Schedule - General Labor: Your set schedule would be Monday thru Thursday, 6AM - 4:30pm and Friday 6AM-2:30PM. This is a consistent Monday thru Friday daylight position at 48 hours per week. If you do not prefer overtime, we can make accommodations to your shift. We are looking for a General Labor who understands how to operate basic hand and power tools. We are willing to train and progress an ambitious, self-starter who wants to learn the trade of machining. As a General Labor, you will be expected to keep Shipping/Receiving area clean and organized on a daily basis, along with the Parts Finishing/Deburr area. Your day could vary from part finishing, to packaging, machine operator, to helping to perform routine machine maintenance. Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
• Ability to use and operate hand or power tools and finishing tools.
• Ability to stand/walk for your shift.
• Adhere to physical demands of lifting (limit 40 lbs) and carrying (limit 30 lbs) throughout your shift.
• Team Player with a great attitude that can work well with others and be able to take correction. We are a small company that strives for a pleasant work environment for all.
• Must be able to pass a drug and background check.

Responsibilities

• Packing parts for shipping
• Deburring parts / parts finishing operation using various deburring tool and grinding equipment.
• Sweep, clean, and organize the shop floor.
• Assist in shipping and receiving department as needed.
• Complete routine maintenance on equipment and assist maintenance with cleanings and repairs.
