The CNC Grinding Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining three Rollomatic grinding machines to produce precision metal components according to engineering specifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Rollomatic CNC grinding experience preferred
  • Experience with tooling, offsets, and basic machine adjustments
  • Strong understanding of CNC fundamentals and machining principles
  • Ability to work with tight tolerances (.xxx and .xxxx)
  • Familiarity with precision measuring equipment
  • Strong shop math skills, including working with decimals
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and engineering prints
  • Understanding of inspection requirements and quality standards
  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up CNC grinding machines for production runs
  • Load raw materials and verify tooling configurations
  • Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and travelers
  • Make offsets and adjustments to maintain tolerances
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Follow all required work and maintenance instructions and procedures
  • Load component materials into product specific tools
  • Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to assure conformance to requirements
  • Accurately document production and quality results
  • Perform other functions as required
