Participates in the CNA Training course approved by the Facility. Participates in classroom, lab, and clinical instruction to meet the criteria to sit for the State Certification Exam. The training will enable care of patients throughout the lifespan, under the direction of a registered nurse. Introduction to the concepts of legal and ethical aspects of care, communication, documentation, and safety.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of CNA course to qualify to sit for the CNA Certification in the State of Maine.
• Must be enrolled in a CNA Training course approved by the Facility.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer knowledge required.

Nice To Haves

• Current BLS certification is preferred.
• Additional languages are preferred.
