About The Position

Health Information Alliance. is seeking a CMS SEPSIS Measures Abstractor (REMOTE) Join HIA's growing team of hard working, and dedicated people, who continually grow and improve our company, and services to our clients. Our team of professionals offer abstracting services to our clients with abstracting current cases, backlogs, reports and many more lines of specialized services that is required and what we can offer. This provides a solution to our clients through outsourcing. This is a Subcontractor Position (1099) Must be able to work a minimum of 20 Hours/Per Week. 100% Remote position Reliable, high-speed internet connection is required Job Summary: The Data Abstractor’s key responsibility is to collect and submit accurate, complete, and timely data to the specific registry or measure data repository. This task is accomplished through high-quality data compilation, documentation, and data entry of identified procedures performed and/or disease process treatment at the Contracted Facility into the associated registry/vendor tool platform.

Requirements

• Must have a Minimum of 5 years of Current Experience with Sepsis Abstraction (Clinical Data Abstraction) of Specified Measure/Registry Core Measures.
• Superior knowledge of core measure requirements
• Experience in IQR, OQR, IPFQR, and/or other quality reporting programs that utilize core measures
• Experience with core measure data collection application(s)
• Commitment and reliability; be able to dedicate consistent time to HIA
• Superb communication and responsiveness
• Computer literacy
• Must be comfortable with, but not limited to: Excel, web-browsers, email, electronic health records (non-specific)
• Must be familiar with various technologies such as, but not limited to: security (e.g., Citrix), data collection/abstraction, encoders, web-based applications
• Self-maintenance of skillset
• Maintaining credentials
• Staying current with abstraction/coding rules, manuals, and guidelines
• Prior experience in position applying for
• Must have a minimum of 5 years current experience in Sepsis Abstraction
• Motivation; remote work can be team-based, but requires the ability to work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills and tactfulness to be able to effectively communicate with team members and client contacts
• May require Background and Drug Screening
• A college degree from An accredited nursing program, CAHIIM accredited program, or Other accredited healthcare program
• Healthcare credential associated with their program of study
• This position is for a Subcontractor (1099), who is willing to work 20 hours per week on a regular basis.
