We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CMM Programmer/Operator to join our Quality team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Zeiss coordinate measuring machines and be proficient in Calypso software. This role is critical to ensuring dimensional accuracy of precision components and maintaining the highest level of quality compliance in our manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in metrology or manufacturing is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience as a CMM Programmer/Operator.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMs and strong proficiency in CMM software.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience interpreting complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
  • Ability to work independently and manage inspection priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and related quality management systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Security clearance and ability to maintain the designated security clearance level is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, or precision machining industries.
  • Familiarity with SPC, MSA, and other quality tools.
  • Experience with PC-DMIS or other metrology platforms is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Zeiss CMMs and strong proficiency in Calypso software.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CMMs (Zeiss preferred) to inspect complex mechanical and electronic components.
  • Develop and modify Calypso programs based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.
  • Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports on nonconformances and part compliance.
  • Support first article inspection (FAI), in-process, and final inspections.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve dimensional issues.
  • Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts related to inspection processes.
  • Document inspection results in accordance with internal procedures and AS9100/ISO requirements.
