Job Summary: This position installs, modifies, maintains, operates, and repairs a variety of manufacturing equipment for the Center for Manufacturing Excellence (CME). The incumbent provides training to students on proper use and safe operation of equipment on the CME factory floor. Job Description: Operates a variety of equipment for processing metals, polymers, wood, and/or composites. Installs production equipment, makes equipment modifications as needed, and provides maintenance of both manual and CNC equipment. Works from verbal or written instructions, plans, drawings, and specifications to produce a given object. Develops instructional manuals for educating students on proper equipment operation. Provides training and demonstrations to students on equipment use. Participates in the development of safety manuals and provides safety training to students. Implements safety test-out methods that students must pass before being authorized to use equipment. Works with equipment suppliers to determine best equipment and practices for manufacturing efforts. Collaborates with other CME faculty and staff to identify and implement best practices on the factory floor. Performs related duties as assigned.

Relevant experience | 2 Years | Required
