About The Position

The CE Coordinator supports the management of Jefferson’s accredited and non-accredited continuing professional education activities, including curriculum development, planning, marketing, implementing, financing, and related activity needs. Must have the ability to organize large amounts of materials, handle multi-task projects, and independently prioritize workload. Must have the ability to organize and interpret information in order to evaluate data and make informed decisions based on best-practices. The CE Education Coordinator also manages regularly occurring programs and special events; and assists in tracking financial activities and contracts.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of accreditation criteria and planning conferences.
  • Skills required are attention to details, planning and organization.
  • Abilities required are problem-solving, brainstorming, and processing detailed information.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in education, business, or related fields.
  • 2-5 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Organizes, coordinates and manages educational programs and/or special events, both internal and external to the Jefferson community.
  • Assists with curriculum development of educational activity content related to interdisciplinary educational topics.
  • Maintains related course files, as required by accrediting bodies, including summary reports of program attendance and evaluation.
  • Implements approved activity-related planning, marketing and execution of programs and meetings, including coordinating logistical needs, managing communication and utilizing registration databases.
  • Tracks and manages OCPD activity-related finances (accounts payable/receivable), invoicing, credit card, honorarium and other payments associated with assigned internal and external activities.
  • Initiate/process honoraria and vendor payments after verifying accuracy of expense.
  • Coordinates fund raising through solicitation of exhibitors/vendors applying appropriate accreditation and university guidelines; staffs onsite activities.
  • Contributes to development of procedures/processes related to job function to support streamlined, efficient operations.
  • Responsible for maintaining and communicating up-to-date information to students, volunteers, faculty and staff.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Uses and inputs data into the learning management system to track and monitor progress of educational activities
  • Completes duties as assigned.
