About The Position

As a key member of the event service team, the Barback/Runner plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations across bar and food service areas. This dual-function position supports bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff by maintaining stock levels, transporting products, and upholding cleanliness and presentation standards throughout events.

Responsibilities

Keep all bar and service areas stocked with essential items such as liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, plates, utensils, napkins, and ice.
Monitor inventory levels during service and communicate replenishment needs to supervisors in a timely manner.
Transport beverages, food orders, and specialty items to appropriate locations quickly and accurately.
Maintain clean and organized bar and service areas, including regular removal of trash and recyclables.
Ensure all items delivered meet department standards for presentation and accuracy.
Assist with post-event breakdown including organizing equipment and resetting spaces for future use.
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of all transport equipment (e.g., carts).
Record and report inventory counts, particularly for liquor and key bar items.
Communicate clearly and effectively with bartenders, servers, and supervisors to anticipate and meet service needs.
Operate with urgency and efficiency in fast-paced, high-volume event environments while maintaining a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Work collaboratively as part of a cohesive team to provide outstanding service to guests and ensure seamless event execution.
