About The Position

Club Lounge Servers are expected to always exhibit a great personality with an engaging smile, demonstrate a strong attention for detail, and uphold a high level of standards in order to create an incredible experience for each guest. Additionally, they will communicate guest needs and preferences to ensure the most personalized service possible, all while creating a welcoming lounge environment for all who enter the Club Lounge. Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • At least one year of serving, or serving assistant, experience required.
  • Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcohol.
  • Bar knowledge with some experience serving liquor, beer, and wine preferred.
  • Effective conflict resolution and organization skills, professional and cooperative demeanor, and positive and energetic attitude are imperative.
  • Must possess a passion for providing extraordinary service.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to lift minimum weight of 25 lbs. across short-medium distances.
  • Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift while reaching, bending and stooping as needed.
  • Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, lift, and carry trays / ovals.

Nice To Haves

  • Bar knowledge with some experience serving liquor, beer, and wine preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and serve with warmth, sincerity, and genuine southern hospitality.
  • Maintain order of all food and beverage in the Club Lounge.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the Club Lounge.
  • Service all food and beverage needs of guests.
  • Control lounge inventory including food, alcohol, soft drinks, silverware, glassware, china, linens, serving pieces, and buffet presentation pieces.
  • Will need to manage time effectively, actively listen to guest requests and employ initiative to resolve each request.
  • Will maintain a professional demeanor and composure, regardless of business levels.
  • Will be able to improvise when necessary and make empowered decisions to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Uphold the core values and policies and procedures of the resort.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
