About The Position

Lead Facilitators fulfill Facilitator duties to work with students and volunteers, guiding homework help, academic and enrichment activities, physical activities and games, small-group student meetings, snack and other activities as directed by the Site Coordinator. Additionally, Lead Facilitators work alongside Club House leadership to organize lesson plans, schedules, community partners, and participate in trainings with a commitment to learn and follow strategies as defined by the Club House + Dual Language Strategic Plan and the Social Emotional Learning; Program Quality Assessment (SEL PQA)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year(s)
  • Current First Aid and/or CPR certification, to be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Foundational organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Foundational written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with staff, partners, stakeholders, and program participants.
  • Foundational understanding of workplace professionalism and non-discrimination practices, including appropriate handling of sensitive or personnel-related matters and adherence to equitable workplace standards.
  • Foundational professional conflict management skills, including the ability to navigate disagreements respectfully, maintain professionalism in high-stress situations, and escalate concerns appropriately when necessary.
  • High level of independence and self-direction, with strong follow-through, accountability, and the ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Foundational proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications, with the ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and effectively utilize new systems and technologies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and systems change, with an understanding of systemic oppression and structural inequities and the ability to apply this awareness in professional practice.
  • Ability to represent TOGETHER! professionally, contributing positively to relationships with partners, stakeholders, community members, and program participants while upholding the organization’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general supervision of students and actively engage with students during the Program including meal time, homework, enrichment, recreation, and transitions.
  • Plan and facilitate project-based academic and recreational activities in alignment with Youth Program Quality guidelines with support from Site Coordinator.
  • Assess students’ needs and interests to design effective programming.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings.
  • Assists in developing students' cognitive capacity, increasing academic skill development, and respect for learning; foster students' self-esteem and motivation through positive interaction.
  • Provide direction and encouragement to volunteers.
  • Use YPQI based methods of positive behavior management with guidance from Facilitators and Site Coordinator.
  • Participate in Youth Program Quality self-assessments, goal setting, and other Youth Program Quality meetings and tasks.
  • Be a positive conflict mediator and follow procedures for reporting incidents.
  • Always maintain professional conduct.
  • Step in as Site Coordinator if Site Coordinator is not present on site.
  • Provide formal mentoring and guidance to facilitators in relation to lesson planning, SEL PQA, activity management, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Network with local organizations to partner with and procure donations for Club House and program site.
  • Attend program trainings and organize Club House trainings and materials.
  • Track volunteer hours at program site.
  • Create thank-you cards for volunteers and donations.
  • Support Site Coordinators with additional projects as needed.
