This role involves assessing existing on‑prem architectures, defining modernization approaches, and implementing secure, scalable, cloud‑native solutions.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in AWS, Terraform (IaC), Java/Python development, and modern application architecture practices. As an SME, you will guide cross-functional teams to ensure smooth, secure, and cost‑optimized cloud transformations.

Requirements

  • AWS Cloud Services (EC2, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, S3, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.)
  • On‑Prem to Cloud Migration strategies & execution
  • Terraform (IaC) – modules, state management, reusable patterns
  • Programming: Java, Python
  • Microservices & APIs (REST, event-driven architectures)
  • CI/CD Pipelines (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, etc.)
  • DevOps & Automation practices
  • Cloud Security (IAM, KMS, security groups, compliance)
  • Monitoring & Observability (CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead on‑prem to AWS cloud migration efforts for multiple enterprise applications.
  • Assess existing on‑prem architectures, identify gaps, and create modernization & migration strategies.
  • Design, develop, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring alignment with enterprise governance and best practices.
  • Develop, refactor, and enhance applications using Java and Python to adopt cloud‑native patterns and integrations.
  • Architect and implement solutions aligned with microservices, APIs, security standards, observability, and DevOps best practices.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical leadership and guidance to engineering and migration teams.
  • Ensure cloud solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and cost‑efficient.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including security, networking, DevOps, and application teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
