About The Position

The Cloud SRE team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, performance, and resilience of Amadeus' cloud-native platforms, which serve over 200 airlines and 6,000 hotel properties worldwide. Our team is central to Amadeus' technology transformation-building and scaling OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms across public and private clouds. With a strong focus on automation, proactive monitoring, and continuous improvement, the Cloud SRE team empowers our business units to deliver reliable services 24/7/365 while fostering collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation. We are seeking Cloud Engineers and SRE Engineers to join our Cloud Competency Center, where you will help build, configure, operate, and scale our OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms across public and private clouds. These platforms are the backbone of Amadeus' global operations. By joining our team, you will be at the forefront of Amadeus' technology transformation, enabling all our business segments to leverage the capabilities of modern cloud-native applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in operational service roles, with at least 1+ years in cloud/PaaS and DevOps technologies.
  • Experience running a large-scale environment (1000+ hosts).
  • Problem-solving mindset and curiosity for challenges.
  • Knowledge of scalability, stability, and security in cloud-based applications.
  • Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters.
  • Familiarity with Python, Java, Go, Groovy, Terraform.
  • Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, Ansible).
  • Experience with Git and ArgoCD.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience troubleshooting network, security, and infrastructure issues is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a global and diverse team of professionals globally - France, US, India, Germany
  • Work with modern technologies such as OpenShift and Kubernetes in an agile, learning-oriented environment.
  • Share ideas, co-create solutions, and contribute to continuous improvements that make platforms more reliable and resilient.
  • Deploy, configure, and operate PaaS (RedHat OpenShift) platforms in private and public clouds.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and policies as code to strengthen system performance.
  • Partner with Architects, Engineers, and Developers to design and deliver new features and initiatives.
