Job Description The salary range for this position is $140K-180K per year As a Data Scientist within Jellyfish’s Cloud and Martech practice, you will help design and deliver advanced measurement, modelling, and predictive analytics solutions that improve client performance and inform strategic decision-making. You will work across multiple teams to transform complex data into clear insights, build scalable analytical frameworks, and apply modern data science techniques to real marketing and customer experience challenges. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys statistical problem-solving, collaborative project work, and building analytical products that directly influence media efficiency and business outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Expertise in Python.
  • Extensive practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud provider services, including Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, and AutoML.
  • Proficiency with machine learning frameworks.
  • Familiarity with marketing science methodologies, including MMM (Marketing Mix Modeling), incrementality testing, attribution models, and causal inference techniques.
  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, and PowerBI.
  • Experience utilizing datasets and APIs from major platforms (e.g., Meta, Google Ads, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
  • Proven ability to align data science initiatives with core business objectives to enhance marketing effectiveness, optimize ad spend, and maximize ROI.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Generative AI (GenAI) and agentic AI development is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, diagnose performance issues, and formulate practical recommendations.
  • Apply and articulate the results of sophisticated data science methodologies, including Geo-based experiments, Media Mix Models (MMM), Causal Impact Studies, and Incrementality testing.
  • Integrate and analyze marketing data from various sources, such as Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform, and CRM systems, to derive actionable insights.
  • Translate complex model outputs into clear, compelling narratives using visualizations, dashboards, and structured reports.
  • Design, develop, and deploy predictive and causal models aimed at boosting media performance, enhancing customer experiences, and optimizing revenue outcomes.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of machine learning models specifically tailored for improving campaign effectiveness, audience segmentation, and marketing Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Partner with internal teams and external platforms to advance capabilities in incrementality testing, media modeling, and privacy-safe measurement techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with Cloud Engineers, Analysts, and Martech specialists to ensure seamless integration of solutions into client ecosystems.
  • Research and experiment with emerging technologies and methodologies to continually advance the firm's marketing science capabilities.
  • Implement cloud-based data architectures to ensure efficient storage, processing, and querying of large-scale datasets for analytical purposes.
  • Build reproducible analytical workflows, maintain clear process documentation, and create scalable, repeatable frameworks for cross-client and market application.
  • Champion and enforce MLOps best practices, ensuring all machine learning workflows are reliable, reproducible, and scalable.
  • Mentor team members in advanced data science and machine learning techniques, cultivating a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
