About The Position

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a DBT Clinician for its psychiatric residential programs in West Chester, PA. This role offers an environment for growth and learning, with comprehensive training and support in evidence-based interventions, including free training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and DBT Jump Start Trainings. Clinicians will also receive free clinical supervision with opportunities for CEUs and training in CBT, DBT, TFCBT, and PBIS. The position features a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, small caseloads to facilitate strong clinical work, and collaboration with an integrated treatment team encompassing direct care, education, psychiatry, medical, and nursing staff. There are also opportunities for exposure and experience with external agencies and trade organizations, as well as participation in the ASCEND- Career Accelerator Program. The role involves working with children and adolescents (specifically biological female youth aged 12-17 for the PRTF program, and 6-21 for DPACS) who experience behavioral and psychiatric challenges, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities. The programs are inclusive of all youth regarding sexual orientation and gender identity, guided by trauma-informed care and a recovery-focused Dialectical Behavior Therapy model, emphasizing ongoing assessment, risk management, and family engagement. Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) also focuses on Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS) to promote positive behaviors and create supportive living environments.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related Human Services discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience providing mental health treatment.
  • Previous clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.
  • Experience in evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, functional assessment and behavioral interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Creates initial treatment plan to include measurable short-term objectives, measurable clinical goals, and specifying clinical strategies.
  • Monitors and documents progress using monitoring tools at proscribed intervals.
  • Conducts individual, family, and group therapy according to organizational, program, and professional standards and protocols, documenting such in a timely, legible, articulate fashion.
  • Facilitates 30-day review processes.
  • Prepares for reviews by generating data involving individual, group, and family sessions, as well as therapeutic home visits, results of assessments, and/or other areas of concern.
  • Facilitates therapeutic home visits (THVs) to include scheduling, discussing rules and expectations while on the visit, developing crisis plans, and documenting effectiveness/outcome of THV
  • Consults daily with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to review cases and inform treatment.
  • Participates in weekly DBT consultation meetings and opportunities to provide DBT training to others

  • Licensed salary of $56,637 - $64,566
