Role Summary: We’re seeking a compassionate Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder Therapist to join our clinical team. In this role, you’ll provide individual and group therapy, support clients through their recovery, and collaborate with leadership on treatment planning, crisis intervention, and discharge preparation. Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania clinical license: LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD
  • LSW or LAPC is acceptable, provided you also hold a CAADC.
  • Master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • Successful completion of background check, drug screen, and TB test

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Ability to use motivational interviewing to reinforce client’s power to make change.
  • Possess knowledge of HIPAA.
  • Possess experience and/or education with crisis management.
  • The candidate will show skills and competency in working with clients, from undertaking clinical assessments, planning and delivery of care to review of effective methods of interventions, in order to shape continuing service provision which will meet the needs of individuals.
  • Preferred candidates should be able to work well within a team and independently, effective communication skills, time management, ability to problem solve, and strong professional boundaries.
  • The candidate will be sensitive to religious, ethnic, and cultural differences.
  • Knowledge of CBT, DBT, 12-step recovery, and other evidenced-based theories is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Providing individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, ACT, MI)
  • Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitating group therapy and psychoeducational programming
  • Monitoring client progress, behaviors, and group dynamics
  • Completing timely and accurate clinical documentation in the EMR
  • Providing case management, care coordination, and client support services
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to support treatment outcomes
  • Engaging clients and families in treatment and discharge planning
  • Coordinating aftercare planning and community resource linkage
  • Responding to crises and supporting a safe therapeutic environment
  • Assisting with program development and structured therapeutic activities
  • Maintaining professional, ethical, and culturally competent care
  • Participating in meetings, trainings, and clinical consultations
