About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Informatics & Special Projects. Responsible for all aspects of maintenance, education, and nursing documentation through the Meditech Information System. This position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice® and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3 years to < 5 years
  • State of Florida RN License preferred

Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively within Clinical departments to orient new employees and educate staff regarding the Meditech Information System.
  • Develops training materials and course content for education of users, including physicians, on the clinical modules.
  • Provides training to users on all shifts as appropriate to ensure consistency in utilization of the CIS, including hands on, one on one and classroom settings.
  • Responsible for development and coordination of all new hire HIS Clinical module training programs, including physicians.
  • Develops procedure and education plan for users of the HIS Clinical Information modules.
  • Performs documentation audits for new hires within sixty (60) days and develops care partner specific education for refresher class.
  • Evaluates on-going documentation education opportunities related to regulatory reporting, meaningful use, core measures and/or patient safety.
  • Communicates needs with clinical informatics, leadership, and unit educators.
  • Collaborates with clinical personnel to identify computer training needs and documentation gaps and/or enhancements.
  • Communicates need with analyst.
  • Communicates relevant information to clinical departments as necessary.
  • Interfaces with Information System Staff and other departments as applicable.
  • Coordinates Meditech enhancement communication to all care partners.
  • Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
  • Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area.
