Under limited supervision, this position provides quality clinical consultation, training, and supervision to Clinical Supervisors, Program Managers, and Behavior Interventionists. Responsible for the development and delivery of training materials on organizational products, processes and technologies so as to ensure that team members develop, maintain, and increase their own clinical and/or process knowledge. Performing the duties of a Clinical Supervisor, ensuring high quality services and the use of best-practice guidelines within their assigned Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs and assessments. OVERVIEW OF POSITION: Under limited supervision, thisposition provides quality clinical consultation, training, and supervisionto Clinical Supervisors, Program Managers, and Behavior Interventionists. Responsible for the development and delivery of trainingmaterials on organizational products, processes and technologies so as toensure that team members develop, maintain, and increase their ownclinical and/or process knowledge. Performingthe duties of a Clinical Supervisor, ensuring high quality services and the useof best-practice guidelines within their assigned Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA) programs and assessments.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in ABA or related field.
  • Must possess and maintain a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.
  • 5-7 years of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting. This can include a combination of training, education, and experience to perform the job successfully.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Must be able to supervise RBTs and BCBAs independently per BACB guidelines
  • Expert knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and behavioral analytic approaches found to benefit children with ASD, familiar with current related research findings.
  • Expertise in approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Behavior Skills Training (BST), and Experimental Functional Analysis (EFA).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Able to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Able to consistently demonstrate strong leadership skills, effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and demonstrate good judgment in decision-making.
  • Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups.
  • Must relate well to children and their families and maintain positive affect.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, demonstrate good judgement, and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test.
  • Ability to provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer showing immunity. A signed declination may be acceptable for certain vaccinations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Consults with the Training and Quality Team to support new hire associates during their transition from training to independent in-field activities.
  • Consults with the Clinical and Training & Quality Team to prepare instructional materials and provide specialized individual and group training.
  • Models and transfers clinical and administrative skills associated with all Clinical Team positions under the Regional Clinical Director.
  • Provides case and staff supervision as assigned by the Regional Clinical Director and based off the needs of the region.
  • Assists Regional Clinical Director with supervisor-level recruitment and selection.
  • Trains associates how to run interviews and monitors for quality.
  • Remains current regarding new research, current trends, and developments in organizational behavior management, behavior analysis, training, autism, special education, and related fields.
  • Consults across locations within the region assigned which will require traveling.
  • Performs duties as outlined in the job description for Clinical Supervisor 2 as determined by the Regional Clinical Director and based off the needs of the region.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
