The Clinical Support Specialist performs all clerical and information technology functions for a physician in a medical clinic setting. This role primarily involves operating electronic health records and/or electronic dictation systems to increase the efficiency and productivity of the physician. The specialist is expected to anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow and must perform duties discreetly, tactfully, and unobtrusively to avoid distracting medical staff from patient care. Essential qualities for this position include good judgment, organizational ability, initiative, attention to detail, self-motivation, adaptability, versatility, and consistent good attendance.
