The MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling: Buddhism-Informed Contemplative Counseling concentration (formerly Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology) seeks Clinical Support Professional(s) (CSP) to assist the course instructor in the in-person Diagnosis and Treatment Planning CMHC 607-BA class, outside of class meetings, and offering support with the student experience in class. This is a one-semester appointment. This is a 3-credit course, scheduled to meet Tuesdays 9:00am-12:20pm on Naropa University’s Nalanda Campus. Semester dates are 01/12/2026-05/08/2026. Course Description An advanced overview of clinical thinking and perspectives related to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Counselors utilize the latest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders as a guide to frame diagnostic thinking. Topics include basic psychopharmacology, psychosocial modalities, evidence-based practice, and recovery strategies.
