About The Position

Job Title: Supervising Therapist (LP, LPCC, LICSW or LMFT) Location: Multiple locations in Minneapolis, MN and St. Paul, MN (currently limited space available at our St. Paul sites) Position can be full time in office or a hybrid of in office and remote with a minimum requirement of 3 days in office Employment Type: W2 Full Time Employee (combination role of supervisor and provider) LynLake is growing and we're looking for licensed therapists to join our team! As a Supervising Therapist, you will provide guidance and support to pre-licensed providers and ensure the delivery of high-quality therapy services. Your role is essential in maintaining the standard of care, promoting therapeutic excellence, and fostering the professional development of our pre-licensed staff. As a Licensed Therapist, you will be dedicated to delivering exceptional outpatient client care in a collaborative setting. Your primary responsibilities will encompass conducting diagnostic assessments and administering targeted treatment, drawing from an array of culturally responsive, trauma-informed and diverse therapeutic modalities, including individual, couples, and/or family psychotherapy. Your caseload may include individuals presenting with depression, anxiety, trauma, significant life changes, ADHD, and other mental health symptoms and developmental concerns, thus necessitating experience across a broad spectrum of client profiles and conditions.

Requirements

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required.
  • State licensure as a Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • Board Approval to provide Clinical Supervision under the Minnesota Board of Social Work, Behavioral Health & Therapy, and/or Marriage & Family Therapy is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical therapy, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role and minimum of 1 year of previous group practice experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapy modalities and a commitment to professional development.
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
  • May require long periods of sitting and standing.
  • Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
  • Good communication skills and emotional resilience to provide support to patients facing mental health challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Works with children under the age of 13 years old and/or comfortable supervising this work
  • Trained in Trauma/PTSD (EMDR; ART; Somatic Experiencing; Sensorimotor Psychotherapy; Brainspotting; Internal Family Systems (IFS); DBT; Neurofeedback) and/or Sex therapy.
  • Experience or training working with: Neurodivergence (ADHD and ASD), addiction, eating disorders, aging/older clients (and able to accept Medicare), Alzheimer's/Dementia, unhoused clients, Women's health (fertility, postpartum, perinatal, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and oversight to one or more pre-licensed providers to ensure the delivery of effective, evidence-based therapy services.
  • Mentor, train, and support pre-licensed providers, assisting in their professional growth, skill development, and adherence to ethical standards.
  • Provide guidance and consultation on client treatment plans and intervention strategies.
  • Monitor the quality and effectiveness of therapy services, conducting regular evaluation and providing ongoing feedback for competency development.
  • Guide performance management interventions when relevant.
  • Provide therapy services to a caseload of clients, maintaining a clinical practice of at least 6 clients per week in addition to your supervisory role.
  • Provide professional clinical services, including individual, couples, and/or family therapy including: completing diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, designing and applying tailored interventions, evaluating client progress, and providing referrals and care coordination based on client needs.
  • Follow company policies, professional conduct standards, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Timely completion of documentation and associated tasks to support billing and administration.
  • Exceptional clinical and boundary-setting skills along with expertise in therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities.
  • Ability to work productively and effectively, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
