About The Position

Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring a Clinical Supervisor to help those suffering from addictions to opioids and other illicit substances gain access to care. Every day you’ll provide orientation, oversight, supervision, training, and support to the clinical staff providing services in outpatient programs. Is comfortable coordinating patient care with clinicians, case managers, and program assistants. Leverages knowledge of the substance abusing population, treatment planning, and the field of human social services to facilitate patient rehabilitation.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of clinical supervision required
  • Independent Clinical Supervisor or Intermediate Clinical Supervisor (ICS)
  • Clinical Supervisor – in Training (CS-IT)
  • Behavioral Health Licensed Professional, such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT (5 years of having a license required)
  • All new hires must provide proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) and Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccinations.
  • In addition, new hires should have a current flu vaccination or be willing to receive one.
  • Medical or religious exemptions for the flu vaccine are permitted. CMS will provide exemption forms, which must be completed and submitted prior to the start date.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise clinical staff and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic and corporate policies and procedures
  • Review group progress notes, monthly reports, client assessments, intake paperwork, and treatment plans
  • Review staff time sheets, mileage logs, and expense reports
  • Coordinate with the outpatient clinical management team to ensure all outpatient groups, screenings, and education classes are covered
  • Review employee incident reports and discuss concerns with staff as needed
  • Coordinate with Clinical Manager to review candidate applications, and conduct interviews for open clinical positions
  • Perform chart audits and communicate results to staff
  • Conduct treatment plan reviews to assess levels of patient care
  • Maintain an awareness of substance abuse symptoms, signs, and best practice treatment
