Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. Your Impact As the Clinical Supervisor, you will be the bridge between our providers and our technical staff, ensuring clinical excellence and operational harmony. Lead & Mentor: Oversee the clinical staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a high-standard of ophthalmic care. Elevate Patient Care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans. Master & Teach Ophthalmic Testing: Conduct (and oversee) thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more. Perform Advanced Diagnostics: Administer and ensure the quality of diagnostic tests such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography. Assist in Surgical Procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking. Optimize Clinic Operations: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff to reduce wait times and improve the patient experience. Maintain Compliance: Ensure all clinical activities, including the administration of eye drops (Certification Required), meet safety and regulatory standards. Contribute to Clinic Efficiency: Perform high-level clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth, organized, and professional workflow.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician with a natural aptitude for leadership or previous supervisory experience.
  • A commitment to patient care and the ability to inspire that same passion in others.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities to handle patient concerns and staff coordination.
  • The ability to thrive and remain calm in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and the ability to perform indirect activities that contribute to the practice's high-quality performance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of doctors, techs, and admins.
  • Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in data entry, typing, and EMR systems.
  • Service Mindset: Outstanding customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or higher is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in staff scheduling or clinical training.
