About The Position

The Greater Sacramento Urban League (GSUL) is a nonprofit civil rights and social service organization dedicated to empowering African Americans, other minorities, and underserved communities to achieve economic self-reliance, parity, and well-being. GSUL provides comprehensive services across workforce development, housing, education, health, and behavioral health. GSUL serves as the lead agency for allcove™ Sacramento , a youth-centered mental health and wellness hub offering integrated services to young people ages 12–25. The Clinical Services Lead provides clinical leadership, consultation, and programmatic support across GSUL's behavioral health services. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive clinical care, while supporting alignment across programs, funding streams, and service models. The Clinical Services Lead collaborates closely with program leadership, clinicians, and support staff to strengthen clinical practice, maintain model integrity, support staff development, and prepare the organization for future service expansion, including integration with EMS-supported services and CalAIM initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
  • Active, unrestricted California license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC
  • Minimum two (2) years of post-licensure clinical experience
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership, consultation, or program support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based practices.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), documentation standards, and outcome tracking.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Final candidates must successfully complete a background check, Live Scan fingerprinting, and TB clearance , as required for youth-serving positions.

  • Experience working with youth and/or transitional-aged populations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and consultation to licensed clinicians, associate-level staff, and peer support roles across GSUL programs.
  • Support evidence-based, trauma-informed, and youth-centered clinical practice.
  • Offer guidance on complex cases, risk assessment, and clinical decision-making.
  • Support coordination of clinical services across multiple departments and grant-funded programs.
  • Partner with program leadership to align workflows, staffing models, and clinical standards.
  • Support program readiness and clinical integration for new initiatives and funding opportunities.
  • Support clinical documentation standards, treatment planning, and outcome measurement.
  • Assist with quality improvement efforts, audits, and program evaluations.
  • Ensure services align with licensing requirements, funder expectations, and GSUL policies.
  • Support onboarding, training, and professional development of clinical and peer support staff.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and strengths-based clinical culture.
  • Support community partnerships, referrals, and coordinated care efforts.
  • Represent GSUL in clinical, professional, and community settings as needed.
  • Contribute to outreach, workshops, and programmatic activities aligned with organizational goals.
