Coordinates and supports nursing education, utilization review, and employee health services activities to promote safe, effective, and high-quality patient care. Responsible for developing and implementing staff education programs, managing employee health processes, and supporting utilization review functions in collaboration with departmental leadership. Exercises independent clinical judgment in education, employee health coordination, and patient care activities while supporting organizational goals for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The staffing of Summit Medical Center is based on a teamwork concept. Employees may be cross-trained in other administrative areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones as staffing and patient needs change. Serves on the Summit Committee of the Whole. Attends meetings as required. Promotes a culture of safety by identifying and reporting patient safety events and near misses and participating in activities that improve the quality and safety of patient care. Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory readiness initiatives. Serves on committees as assigned to support organizational goals. Collaborates with leadership, infection prevention, and interdisciplinary teams. Maintains accurate, timely, and compliant documentation. Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee, and organizational information. Performs other duties as assigned
