This position is responsible for providing clinical office support, which includes greeting and registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits and referrals, and collecting co-payments. Primary duties involve greeting patients, assisting with form completion, verifying the accuracy of patient's insurance and demographic information, and providing necessary forms such as HIPAA, arbitration, and consent-to-treat forms. The role also entails collecting co-pays, verifying and balancing receipts and payments, reviewing schedules for new patients, and updating as necessary. The representative will call patients with appointment reminders, obtain insurance information and referral forms, prepare, distribute, and collect fee tickets, and reconcile them with the daily schedule. Additionally, the position involves scheduling return patient appointments and patient testing, validating patient parking, and potentially preparing patient charts for daily appointments. The representative will assist patients with insurance questions regarding the billing process and support staff with sending out reminder cards and other scheduling-related duties.
