About The Position

MES is seeking a Clinical Quality Assurance Coordinator, ideally an LPN/LVN, to join their growing team. This 100% remote, full-time position involves reviewing medical records, extracting key details, and creating detailed narrative summaries to support the quality assurance process. The role offers flexible Monday-Friday hours, allowing employees to start their day between 7:00 am and 12:00 pm EST and end between 3:30 pm and 8:30 pm EST. Comprehensive training is provided for the first 4-6 weeks, with a preferred schedule of 12:00 pm-8:30 pm EST. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • LPN/LVN/RN may be required based on business needs
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medications and laboratory values
  • Qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M
  • Full understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
  • Ability to operate a general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone
  • Knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of two years clinical or related field experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, preferably claims management relative to one or more of the following categories: workers' compensation, no-fault, liability, or disability

  • Dive into medical records, pulling out key details
  • Craft detailed narrative summaries
  • Follow instructions and respond to upper managements’ directions accurately
  • Look for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met

  • Manage change, delays, or unexpected events appropriately
  • Follow all company policies and procedures in effect at time of hire and as they may change or be added from time to time
  • Read, analyze and interpret common correspondence, medical records, and legal contracts and documents
  • Write clearly and informatively to all required audiences and edit own work for appropriate spelling and grammar
  • Respond appropriately and professionally to all inquiries or complaints from customers, physicians, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community
  • Effectively present information one-on-one or in small groups
