About The Position

Since its founding as a teen drop-in center in 1972, Community Solutions (CS) has grown in both depth and breadth of services in response to the growing and changing needs in the community. As one of the most comprehensive nonprofit human services agencies in Santa Clara County and the surrounding areas, CS provides prevention, intervention, treatment, and residential services to more than 6,400 clients annually, helping them overcome the challenges posed by mental health issues, substance abuse, trauma, severe family dysfunction, sexual and domestic violence, and human trafficking. As our Clinical Program Manager (CPM), you will oversee programs and provide direct staff supervision. The CPM is a licensed/associate clinician who is experienced and trained in providing supervision and consultation to staff, utilizing the identified Evidence Based Practices, and proficient in the program’s cultural needs of home and community-based service delivery.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and 4 years direct client work experience in a related field.
  • 2 years management experience in a related field.
  • Must have strong leadership and management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with direct supervision of line staff.
  • Demonstrated experience running an effective program to meet agency contract requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented work environment.
  • Empowerment, advocacy and support techniques for victims/survivors of violence, people with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues.
  • For Intimate Partner Abuse/ Sexual Assault (IPA/SA) team, must possess solid understanding of issues of violence against women, dynamics of intimate partner abuse and sexual assault.
  • Working knowledge of case management, group, family and individual counseling, and linkage-referral.
  • Must be registered and in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or eligible to register with the Board of Psychology as a Psychology Assistant.
  • Must apply for registration and waiver at time of hire, obtain waiver within four months of hire date and maintain registration and waiver.
  • Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance as required by specific programs, licensing regulations and Community Solutions practices.
  • Possess a valid California driver’s license, current car insurance and a good driving record as documented by a DMV report and consistent with the Agency’s liability insurance requirements.
  • Requires an automobile to perform routine job duties.
  • Community Solutions employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless a reasonable accommodation is approved or as otherwise required by law.

  • The individual will preferably be bilingual and bicultural.

Responsibilities

  • Provides over-site of the day-to-day operation and provides direct supervision of staff, as assigned.
  • Assists with hiring, performance evaluation and progressive disciplinary actions.
  • Participates in the supervision and evaluation of service delivery quality and content.
  • Identify and coordinates quality improvement activities (year-round auditing) including review of outcomes.
  • Ensures Agency policies and procedures are followed including the crisis line protocols.
  • Coordinates and ensures staff and the program’s daily activities are completed efficiently.
  • Attends all County/community meetings, as assigned, provides leadership, brings back information and shares with appropriate staff in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates and implements program requirements.
  • Responsible for completing internal Agency and external “funder” reports.
  • Monitors and supports staff compliance with documentation standards.
  • Reviews, evaluates and co-signs, where applicable, service documentation.
  • Provides professional development mentoring for staff, as well as, new employee orientation training, when required.
  • Assists with special projects including the development of new service content, technology or special events.
  • Facilitate team meetings in a strength-based manner – building trust and addressing concerns in a strength-based manner.
  • Consistently uses strength-based and solution focused problem-solving skills.
  • Provides back-up coverage for Program Director.
  • Ensure that tracking tools are kept up and maintained for: EMR, SRD’s, UR, all outcome/surveys, training of staff in Evidence Based Practices, productivity etc.
  • Ensure adherence to contracts deliverables and outcomes.
  • Responds to phone calls and emails within 24 hours on business days.
  • Resolve outstanding issues collaboratively using strength-based solutions focused approach.
  • Work collaboratively with other Agency divisions.
  • Maintains excellent customer service skills with internal and external customers.
  • Promotes cultural awareness and competence.
  • Maintains professional standards regarding client rights.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of HIPAA, confidentiality laws and policies, and assures the highest degree of confidentiality in the implementation of all responsibilities and duties.
  • Successfully completes all training requirements for this position to ensure agency and contract compliance.
  • Employee must have the ability to operate their personal or Agency motor vehicle to participate in client visits, provide daily transportation of clients and/or all other assigned Agency business.
