About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to serve as Clinical Nutrition Manager at NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens, a 269‑bed community hospital located in Queens, NY. As a vital part of the city’s largest public healthcare system, Queens Hospital Center delivers essential, high‑quality care to a diverse patient population and is proudly affiliated with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, supporting both clinical excellence and professional growth. What You'll Do supervise a team of 5 inpatient dietitians and 6 outpatient dietitians; drive Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects; oversee rollout of department programs and initiatives, as necessary; facilitate local community and wellness initiatives; provide training and education to the food service staff, as well as interdisciplinary healthcare professionals; be the primary liaison with medical and nursing staff and represent the department on hospital wide committees; and serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team and assist in operational management as needed. Requirements

Registered Dietitian credentials with acute care experience and a great clinical knowledge base
proven supervisory or management experience
excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills
experience with regulatory accreditation and establishing and maintaining standards of care
a strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care
Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Minimum Management Experience: 6 years experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timeframes within the overall policy framework
Minimum Functional Experience: 5 years as experienced specialized practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to specialists.
