About The Position

The Clinical Nurse Educator coordinates and participates in the orientation process of new employees. They also coordinate and maintain patent/family/staff education programs. The Clinical Nurse Educator coordinates and participates in community/screening programs as well as developing and revising policies and procedures for Patient Care Services. Lastly, they communicate with other departments and disciplines in providing quality care to patients and/or family. Requirements

  • BSN required.
  • 5 years preferred clinical experience, 3 years required.
  • Must be adaptable to change, be decisive, and demonstrate foresight.
  • Exhibits organizational and leadership ability.
  • Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel
  • Current RN License in Louisiana or multi-state compact license.
  • Must maintain current ACLS, BLS as well as any certifications required by department.
