CLINICAL NURSE-CN-SUPP
About The Position
The Clinical Nurse-CN-Supp is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The RN serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader and sentry. The RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Graduation from accredited school of nursing
- BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire
- Proof of enrollment required within 6 months of hire (if BSN not obtained at hire)
- RNs with min. 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU which must be obtained with 3 years of hire
- Valid Ohio RN license
- Current AHA BLS certification required at the time of hire
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital RN experience is required
- Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong organization skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Preferably in a Pre Op / PACU setting
