Surgical Dermatology Group is looking for a dynamic Clinical Medical Assistant to join their growing practice and help deliver high-quality patient care. Founded in 1998, AQUA Dermatology is the Southeast’s premier dermatology practice, with over 100 locations throughout Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. Their established practices and experienced physicians offer patients the highest quality outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. From common rashes to skin cancer treatments and plastic surgery procedures to an array of vein treatments, no case is beyond their experience and expertise.

Requirements

  • 2 years of combined education/experience as a substitute for minimum experience
  • Hands-on experience in a clinical setting
  • Experience with EMR

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant (MA) Certification, CPR, and First Aid Certification are preferred
  • Dermatology or surgical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness before each appointment, and stock them with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  • Engage and focus on the patient experience
  • Gather patient information, informed consent, and payment information
  • Assist the physician with minor procedures, patient charting, uploading imaging, and patient follow-up appointment scheduling
  • Provide detailed post-care instructions to the patient and/or family members
  • Accurately complete pathology and laboratory requisitions as required
  • Complete logs and send specimens to the laboratory
  • Required to go to other locations throughout the week
  • Perform other tasks and duties as directed
  • Travel is required for this position
