Under general supervision, the Clinical Manager guides, coordinates, and evaluates the delivery of behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Effingham Outpatient Clinic. This position provides clinical supervision, training, and feedback to program counselors and care managers, and assists assigned locations with clinical issues. Key responsibilities include developing long and short-term goals, participating in strategic and operational planning, and monitoring the effectiveness of services and programs in collaboration with Clinic Practice Managers. The Clinical Manager plans, organizes, and guides the clinical work of staff to ensure continuous active treatment, sets priorities, and implements objectives to address behavioral health problems through supervision. The role also involves overseeing clinical supervision for S/T and intern staff, managing staffing and referral processes, providing clinical consultation, reviewing data reports, and overseeing crisis intervention, including direct care when needed. The manager is responsible for coaching staff on clinical issues, ensuring appropriate clinical coverage, reporting ongoing clinical issues to the Clinical Director, and evaluating employees at scheduled intervals with constructive feedback. Furthermore, the Clinical Manager motivates, coaches, and mentors staff to improve work quality and quantity, provides training and development opportunities, and ensures adherence to all agency rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines. This includes attending job-related trainings, following departmental protocols for work schedules and leave requests, maintaining a professional appearance, and observing agency policies on health, safety, security, and sanitation.
