About The Position

The Clinic Manager is a licensed mental health professional who oversees all aspects of service provision within the Outpatient Clinic and IFP Program. This position supervises the professional and administrative activities of the two programs including supervising staff and ensuring adherence to state regulations, DCF contract, and model expectations. The supervisor will also provide clinical services to individuals and families as needed. Emphasis is on providing evidence-based models on-site in Bridgeport or Milford BGV locations.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in social work or equivalent.
  • Clinical license- LCSW, LMFT, LPC
  • Must be willing to work in a variety of settings with clients and families.
  • Must be able to climb several flights of stairs
  • Must be in good enough physical condition to go from site to site and engage with clients
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the clients, including some evenings
  • Must have valid drivers license
  • Must be able to travel between Milford and Bridgeport locations for sessions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual- English/ Spanish
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Awareness of Evidence Based Treatments such as PCIT, MATCH, and TF-CBT.

Responsibilities

  • Provides therapy to individuals, family, or group.
  • Oversees day to day operations of the programs including intake/ triage, scheduling, staff supervision, and other situations affecting management of care.
  • Provides direction and consultation on the work with each client.
  • Attends monthly DCF reviews in order to collaborate with DCF workers and liaison
  • Documents and evaluates all services and procedures to be in adherence with state statutes, COA standards, and Boys & Girls Village Standards.
  • Knowledgeable of medical necessity and documents accordingly
  • Completes training for multiple evidence-based treatments and participates in all associated consultation, working towards model certification.
  • Maintains model certification requirements
  • Participates in weekly supervision
  • Assesses clinical needs of children and families
  • Maximizes program utilization
  • Collaborates with service providers and represents BGV at statewide meetings
  • Prevents, intervenes and reports instances of child abuse or neglect.
  • Keeps Supervisor apprised of any and all situations that involve the safety of any individuals in the program or community, to monitor the impact on the agency as well as its mission of care for children and families.
  • Consults with psychiatrist/APRN as needed.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned in order to deliver seamless services throughout the agency.
  • Provide weekly supervision to IFP Family Workers and Outpatient Clinicians
  • Provide supervision to clinical interns
  • Facilitate weekly program meetings
  • Participates in completion of performance appraisal for evaluation process
  • Participates in the hiring and termination of program staff
