About The Position

In cooperation with the Manager of Clinical Informatics, this role will be responsible for planning, implementing and supporting Epic clinical applications and projects. Assist in the coordination of project and support resources; responsible for communication between teams within the IT Department and business owners. Works independently and within team structures across the organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, end user support and education in regard to Epic functionality, troubleshooting reported issues and workflow questions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Healthcare degree in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology required.
  • Current, valid driver's license issued in the state of legal residence required.
  • Previous clinical experience required.
  • Previous healthcare experience required.
  • Language Skills - Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required.
  • Analytical Skills required.
  • Your own personal smart phone required. (Faith Regional mobile apps, as well as consent to receive messages by SMS/MMS on personal phone, may be necessary to perform the functions of this position.)
  • Complete Credentialed Trainer Program provided by Nebraska Medicine within 6 months of hire date required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Epic experience as clinician preferred.
  • Epic Functionality for clinicians preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a positive effective relationship between IS team and clinical departments by acting as a liaison when needed.
  • Works with staff to recommend and implement workflow and technical solutions that address operational, procedural and systems related issues across the facility's applications.
  • Participates in testing and implementation of system upgrades in cooperation with technical staff, the applicable departments and EMR vendor.
  • Assists in creating educational material and the education of users.
  • Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
  • Must be able to sit and/or perform computer-oriented tasks for a protracted amount of time.
  • Able to research and apply basic understanding of application setup and support of Epic systems.
