The Simulation Nurse Educator plays a vital role in advancing high-quality, simulation-based education within the Emory Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nurisng Simulation Program at Emory Nursing Learning Center (ENLC). This position supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative educational programming, fostering a realistic, state-of-the-art learning environment that enhances clinical competence and patient safety. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programming in the Emory Nursing Learning Center (ENLC) and ensures high quality simulation-based education through the creation of a realistic state-of-the art learning environment. Primary responsibilities include teaching in the Simulation and Skills Lab. Conducts simulation scenarios and debriefing sessions working with faculty and the Director of Simulation Based Learning in the ENLC to provide short-term and long-range comprehensive strategic and operational planning in support of the simulation education. Actively participates in curriculum meetings for the integration of simulation experiences in meeting course and program objectives and outcomes. Promotes a collaborative and team-based approach to simulation education. Assists with program development and ensures adherence to program policies, course objectives, program outcomes, data collection and reporting and current simulation best practice safety measures and contributes to local and national research projects. Performs other related duties as required.
