CoreCivic is currently seeking a Clinical Informatics Nurse. Come join a team that is dedicated to making an impact for the people and communities we serve. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite in Brentwood, TN. The Clinical Informatics Nurse (RN) is responsible for the planning, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of the organization’s electronic medical record (EMR) and other clinical information systems. Bridges clinical practice and technology, ensuring that informatics solutions support safe, effective, and efficient patient care. Collaborates with clinical and IT teams to analyze workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate clinical needs into technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
  • Must possess current, active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or a nursing compact state.
  • 3+ years of clinical nursing experience required.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and training skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing Informatics or related field preferred.
  • Experience with EMR implementation, support, or optimization preferred.
  • Certification in Nursing Informatics (e.g., ANCC) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a liaison between clinical staff, IT, and vendors to ensure technology solutions meet clinical needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Leads and participates in readiness assessments, system configuration, testing, go-live support, and ongoing optimization of EMR and related systems.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on clinical workflows, documentation standards, and best practices in health informatics.
  • Develops and delivers end-user training and educational materials for clinical applications.
  • Audits and analyzes EMR usage to identify gaps, ensure data quality, and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in the development and revision of policies and procedures related to clinical systems and informatics.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves user issues, escalating to technical teams or vendors as needed.
  • Maintains current knowledge of clinical practice, informatics trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supports change management efforts and champions adoption of new technologies.
  • Domestic U. S. travel may be required.
