About The Position

Ser Familia is seeking a Clinical Director to provide clinical leadership and regulatory oversight for its Drug Abuse Treatment and Education Program (DATEP). This role ensures high quality, person-centered, recovery-oriented care and full compliance with Georgia DATEP, DBHDD, DCH, CARF and related standards.

Requirements

  • Must meet one of the qualification pathways permitted under Georgia Rule 111-8-19-.10:
  • Licensed practitioner authorized under Georgia law to provide treatment, therapeutic advice, or counseling for substance use disorders, such as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment.
  • Knowledge of ASAM criteria and evidence-based treatment practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision, staff development, and program oversight.
  • Strong clinical judgment and leadership.
  • Knowledge of substance use treatment, recovery models, and person-centered care.
  • Ability to interpret and implement DBHDD, DCH, DATEP and CARF requirements.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, ethical practice, and accountability.
  • Experience supporting diverse communities with cultural humility and trauma-informed practice.
  • Ability to build trust with staff, participants, families, and community partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in outpatient or community-based behavioral health settings preferred.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all DATEP clinical services and staff.
  • Support a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and recovery-oriented model of care for the individuals and families we serve.
  • Strengthen staff practice through supervision, coaching, quality improvement, and clinical consultation.
  • Ensure assessments, admissions, individualized treatment plans, progress documentation, and discharge planning are completed accurately and on time.
  • Review charts, monitor documentation quality, and ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and other applicable confidentiality standards.
  • Lead quality assurance and performance improvement efforts, including chart reviews, outcome monitoring, incident review, and corrective action planning.
  • Support readiness for audits, site visits, licensing reviews, and other monitoring activities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, compliance, and operations staff to strengthen workflows, policies, and program performance.
