About The Position

The Clinical Director holds administrative responsibility and accountability for planning and directing the clinical, financial, and operational activities of a specific clinical unit or department. This role involves designing, facilitating, and directing care and service delivery to various stakeholders including patients, staff, physicians, family members, and community representatives. Key responsibilities include interpreting and developing patient care standards, ensuring quality health services, managing resource allocation, and overseeing fiscal operations. The Clinical Director is also tasked with defining and monitoring nursing practice standards, ensuring the availability and appropriate use of human and material resources, fostering collaboration within Patient Services and across other divisions and disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to organizational goals. The position requires extensive interaction with all levels of staff, management, physicians, vendors, and professional colleagues, and hospital-based leaders may operate under a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service or internal candidates hired before January 1, 2021 may be considered in satisfaction of this requirement in lieu of an education agreement
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Eight (8) years clinical experience and mastery of professional or technical role/function
  • Five (5) years progressive experience in managerial or supervisory capacity

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
