Please follow this link for a closer look at what it’s like to work at Children’s Wisconsin: https://www.instagram.com/lifeatcw/ The Clinical Inpatient Dietitian in this role will be responsible for screening, assessing, prioritizing, and providing the nutrition care plan for patients and families, which may be specific to a disease entity, but which also encompasses the entire continuum of care – hospital, clinic, and the community. Participates in team staffing, rounding or care conferences of patients; coordinates care in conjunction with other disciplines per the needs of the clinical area of practice (i.e. providers, nursing, social work, psychology, speech/language pathology, etc); communicates with health care team when nutrition outcomes are not met. Location: Onsite at the Milwaukee main hospital Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:30pm) Holiday and weekend rotation required May need to travel to other Children’s locations based on the needs of the department.

Requirements

  • RD-Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration within 90 Days required
  • License Certified Dietitian (29) - State of Wisconsin within 180 Days required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively gather and share information with physicians; counsel and instruct families; participate in a multi-disciplinary team in provision of nutritional care; and provide effective coaching to team members.
  • Ability to independently assess patients and their conditions; interpret available data; and evaluate recommendations, outcomes, and patient/family comprehension.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in clinical nutrition and/or with a pediatric population preferred
  • Previous experience with an electronic medical record preferred
