Department Description: The IS Training Department is a part of the System Support Office, responsible for training and supporting all areas of the system. This includes acute care facilities, behavioral health facilities, and outpatient sites – totaling over 18,000 employees. The IS Training department trains over 400 new hires a month on average in addition to our ongoing implementations. Additionally, they provide at the elbow support to various roles in the system, as well as delivering both instructor led and online training. IS Training is crucial to end user acceptance of new systems as well as the success of each go live. Position Summary: The Clinical Credentialed Trainer (CT) plays a key role in helping the CareConnect Program meet the objectives for clinical end users during implementation of the Epic electronic health record as well as with subsequent optimizations and upgrades. This person will focus on learning the EPIC software for their role as a trainer, leading the classroom education for their designated application(s), and provide elbow to elbow support during Go Live events. The primary focus will be to drive faster adoption, greater ultimate utilization and higher proficiency of the end users to minimize the impact on productivity. The CT provides in the classroom and operational support for the Epic implementation project and post go live training activities. The CT answers end-user questions as part of the training team, and serves as a liaison between end users and project and department leaders. This position requires successful completion of the Epic credentialing process which includes a 4-6 week training program on the application(s), to include “teach back” methodology, successful completion of a teaching presentation before a panel, and successful completion of a Credentialing exam. In addition, the position requires comprehensive knowledge of clinical practice models.
