About The Position

Working on the ISS Team, the IT Credentialed Trainer Intern acts as an instructional leader on our Technical Training Team. The Intern will educate a wide range of system users (from physicians to front desk representatives) on how to utilize different system technologies. The primary responsibility of an IT Credentialed Trainer is to act as an in-classroom presence during technical training modules, and to assist with the creation and revision of technical training materials. The IT Credentialed Trainer Intern responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Acting as an instructor to help train system users across Atlantic Health to utilize various technologies Shadowing EPIC Training with experienced IT Credentialed Trainers to learn how to support first-time EPIC users through the learning process Contributing to creation and revision of eLearning modules that provide technical training to AHS staff members Administrative tasks including but not limited to phone, email and virtual presentations Assist in creation and validation of training tools which support the education of system users Follow established program and departmental policies, procedures, and technical standards; and related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited undergraduate or graduate program at a public or private College/University, and be in good academic standing at their institution
  • Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026 - August 2026
  • Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
  • Must have a strong interest acting as a teacher/instructional lead in a classroom setting, and a willingness to work with diverse groups of learners
  • Strong presentation skills/public speaking ability, time management skills, customer service orientation, and professional email & phone etiquette skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills

  • Students enrolled in coursework related to Teaching, Instructional Design, Technical Writing, and System Development strongly encouraged to apply
  • Technical background/skillsets are helpful to succeed in this role, but not required - if you have a strong desire to apply an interest in teaching and learning to a technical training environment, we encourage you to apply.
